MAXjet's Crewmembers

From a startup team of three in August 2003, MAXjet grew to 400 employees by mid-2007 as it opened offices and crew bases in London, New York and Las Vegas with headquarters at Dulles Airport outside Washington, DC.  MAXjet was a startup culture that emphasized values and collaborative efforts with hard focus on operating cost and flexibility.  Most MAXjet employees look back on their time with the airline as a unique period very different from other jobs before or after.

Cabin Crews

MAXjet recruited cabin attendants (crewmembers at MAXjet) using the same principles and values-based methods introduced at Southwest and JetBlue Airways.  Regulations and service objectives mandated a mix of experienced crewmembers with others who had never worked for an airline.  This unique cultural mix of startup and legacy backgrounds that came to define MAXjet as it grew.

The following file defined MAXjet's flight attendant requirements and outlined interview dates as the service expanded.

Office and Airport Candids June 2006

Picture
In June 2006, MAXjet took delivery of its third Boeing 767 aircraft and brought the plane to Washington Dulles before it entered refurbishment and interior installation.  Still configured in its original Business/Economy Class configuration, the visit gave MAXjet employees an opportunity to visit the ramp area.  The following pictures were taken during that visit and during the rest of 2006 at launch events for the Las Vegas route and at the old Dulles office where 100 employees crammed into 10,000 square feet of office space.  In May 2007, MAXjet moved next door to a larger 40,000 square foot office space where all operational and management teams could be co-located.
